EVERGREEN PARK RACING CLUB 2025

The Evergreen Park Horse Racing Club 2025 has been formed to allow interested people to participate as a horse "owner" in 2025. The Club horses will run at J.D.A. Raceway at The Horses At Evergreen Park in July and August and may compete at other tracks in Alberta in the spring and fall. Evergreen Park is one of only five locations in Alberta where live pari-mutuel horse racing is held on an expanded schedule. JDA Raceway at Gordon Badger Stadium at Evergreen Park hosts live racing weekends during July and August and the Evergreen Park Casino & Restaurant features 11 screens that show races from around North America year-round and allow viewers to bet on those races.  

MEMBER INFORMATION

I WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE EVERGREEN PARK RACING CLUB AND I UNDERSTAND, REPRESENT AND AGREE AS FOLLOWS:

1.         I understand that the purpose of the Evergreen Park Racing Club 2025 (hereafter the “Club”) is to provide the experience of racehorse “ownership” through participation in a partnership that races racehorses.

2.         I understand that the club is organized as a partnership. I understand that any potential return on my investment is dependent upon how well the Club’s horses perform. Under no circumstances will there be any further charges over and above the initial membership fee.

3.         As to Club activities, I understand that:

A. The Club will acquire a minimum two or three horses with the intention to race for the 2025 season at Evergreen Park Race course in Grande Prairie, Alberta; Horses may start their season at any Alberta track;

B. Up to 200 memberships will be accepted to the Club. Each membership is $300.00 each: one membership is equal to one share. I understand there is no membership fee associated with promotional or sponsor memberships, but promotional/sponsor members will not share if any profit is made. 

C. All paid membership fees will be deposited into an account with Evergreen Park Racetrack and Casino and expenses will be paid from this account;

D. Norm Tremblay is the Club manager. He and the Evergreen Park General Manager Kim Randall, as well as Trainer Kathy McNally will represent the Club’s interests;

E. I will receive communications through emails, web page and/or blogs about the horses’ activities;

F. All racing and training decisions will rest with the trainer and Club managers;

G. Paid members will be entitled to purse winnings and will receive their share at the conclusion of the 2025 racing season, net of such training and other costs involved in purchasing/leasing and maintaining the horses that are not covered by the membership fees;

H. The Club will be dissolved in November and the remaining proceeds from member payments and purse money will be returned to the members. Such funds will be distributed on a per share basis;

I. All members of the Evergreen Park Racing Club 2024 will have first rights to purchase a share in the Evergreen Park Racing Club 2025;

J. Horses may be leased to Evergreen Park Racing Club for the 2025 season;

K. I represent to the Club, Horse racing Alberta (HRA), and any other regulatory bodies, that I am eligible to receive an owner’s licence and that there is no additional charge beyond the membership fee to sign up for a licence. I understand that an HRA licence is required to own a racehorse, and therefore to participate in the Evergreen Park Racing Club 2025. I understand if I am denied an HRA licence, I will be denied membership in the Club and my membership fees will be returned;

L. I agree that this is the only agreement or understanding that applies to my interest in the Club.
